THE AMOEBA RESTO BIKE
A one of a kind bike for a one of a kind story.
This bike is about 25 years old and it has it's history. It was brought to Barefoot as a secret gift to the customer's father (nicknamed
"Amoeba"). The customer and her sister used to put their feet in the basket when they were little girls while "Amoeba" rode around Tybee Island. So you can see there is some sentiment there. When the bike was brought to us it was in pretty rough shape. There was rust/pitting all over the handlbars, basket, crank. Yet, we saved mostly every piece with a little bit of sandblasting, powdercoat, and elbow grease. Now you know we can't stop at restoring old parts. Barefoot had to top it all of with handmade wood fenders, handmade wood pedals, handstitched leather seat & grips, and Custom Amoeba style decals.
